An experienced autobody technician wanted for a very busy local auto body and paint facility. If you have industry certification or at least two years of experience, we want to talk with you.

Job Summary for Autobody Technician

You will inspect customer vehicles, assess body damage, and determine the best way to restore them to like-new condition. You will need to repair dents, scrapes, scratches, and general damage to the paint and body. You will lay down the final paint and buff and polish it.

We prefer candidates with an associate’s degree in automotive technology and at least some experience. We also like candidates who have several years’ experience. The job requires good physical condition and manual dexterity. We are busy and need an autobody technician with the stamina needed to complete the work.

Autobody Technician Responsibilities and Duties

  • Repair damage to customer or factory specifications
  • Remove damaged panels and body components
  • Use hand tools to replace components
  • Remove small dents and cracks
  • Repair cosmetic damage, like scratches and scuffed paint

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Certification or associate’s degree in automotive technology
  • Welding, autobody repair, and painting experience
  • Good physical condition

The job requires you to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We provide all of the supplies, panels, parts, and paint needed to deliver a professional finish.
